About JHR
Meet JHR
JHR Building & Remodeling is a Thomaston-based company led by owner Justin Smith. With nine years of carpentry experience, Justin brings hands-on attention to each project. Our goal is simple: keep our word, respect your home, and build work we’re proud to stand behind.
How JHR Began
I started JHR on December 21, 2020, because I wanted the freedom to build something of my own and the responsibility of doing it well. I wanted to create a company with a Christian atmosphere, where our faith shows in how we work and treat people. We started with roof repairs, smaller roofs, and carpentry jobs. Over time, people began trusting us with bigger projects, and the business grew from there.
What We Build Today
Today we take on larger projects, including additions, remodeling, decks, roofing, siding, and window and door installations. We still bring the same hands-on care to the smaller jobs that got JHR started.
